Off-Site Development Services - How does it work over
the NET??
|
|
|
|
We have defined below, what we consider a long term, workable model for “ Off- Site Development Over the Net”
|
|
First Time / First Project –
- You send us detailed specifications of a small project / program that you would like us to undertake first. Along with the standards etc. that you would like us to follow. You would also need to assign one person (for each project), who will be our point of Contact for that project.
- We give you a detailed Estimate of Time and
Cost. As a first project, we recommend that it should be a “Fixed Cost Project”.
- You issue us a confirmation letter (E-Mail), confirming your acceptance to our charges and terms, (which are mutually finalized).
- ACS assigns an executive to you, who becomes your point of contact with
ACS, for all future contacts with us.
- We treat the first project as a pilot. And during this work out the methodology for working with your organization, understanding and implementing your standards to what ever extent possible, etc.
|
 |
|
Subsequent Projects -
- Once, the first project is complete, ACS
and your company, have ironed out the methodology of working together, all subsequent projects will follow the same methodology and standards, defined during the first project.
- The subsequent Projects may be Fixed Cost or
T&M
Projects.
- The specifications will be sent to ACS over the NET.
- Based on the Specifications, ACS will give a time schedule about the completion of the project.
- ACS will maintain the status of the work completed on the Customer Area of its Web
Site, which you will be able to access to monitor the progress of the work.
- On a mutually agreed time intervals, (e.g. once in three days or once a week), ACS will send the completed work over the Net to you.
Note:
- As we expect, ACS and your company will take some time initially, to work out an efficient collaborative development environment, we recommend that for the first project, do not take up a project with a very tight time schedule.
- We also expect the interaction between the two companies to be higher in the initial projects, and expect it to come down, as the two companies learn to work better together, during the first project.
