Mini Software Factory - Setup Process

ACS offers to set up a dedicated “Mini Software Factory” for you. 

The Software Factory can be as small as 6 people (One Programmer Analyst and 5 Programmers) to 25 people, having the skill set required by you. 

• We Ensures that each member of team has Technology Exposure required by you. 
• Before the team works on actual projects, they go through an Intensive training on your Development and Quality standards. 
• With a minimum team size of 5 Programmers, there is sufficient depth in the team, if someone is unavailable, then other team members can take the slack, till a replacement is in place.

Requirement - 

You send us your exact requirement of the Software Factory. This includes -

• The Skill Set and Domain Expertise for which you wish to setup the Software Factory
• The Infrastructure Requirement -
  • The size that you wish to start with (Number of People, how many Programmers, Analysts, Project Leaders etc.)
  • Hardware, Operating and Development Environment.
  • Communication Requirement (kind of connectivity etc.)

Costing and Time Frame - 

Based on the requirement given, we give a Cost and Time Frame in which we can setup the Software Factory for you. Once this is mutually agreed we proceed with setting up the Software Factory for you. 

Setting up the Software Factory - 

Putting the team together – 

This normally takes about 8-10 weeks. The breakup is – 

• Getting the people – About 2-3 weeks to put the team together. 
  Either, people already working with ACS are deputed / transferred, or we recruit people with required background.
• Training them – A 3-4 weeks training – both hands on and class room, on – 
  The Environment in which they are eventually required to work (this is more to ensure that every one has a homogeneous exposure to the development environment)
  
  • Development and quality standards to be followed in the project
  • Communication and Documentation standards

  These standards are normally the standards followed by you, in your organization. 
  

• Live Project – 2 to 3 weeks of working on a small live project (supervised by us), where we ensure that all the above standards are followed, and technically, the people are up to the mark. Where ever we feel additional training is required, the same is imparted during this time.

Operating the Software Factory - 

Once the training is over, the Team can start to work on your Projects. We normally assign a Senior Executive, who monitors the working of the team, and looks after the people issues. The executive also manages the Project Schedules on an ongoing basis, with the team, and coordinates with you.

Project Schedules, Software Development and Submitting completed work, are monitored by this executive. This ensures that you have a single point contact for your Project.

Regular Communication is done with you through e-mails, live chats – text, voice and video.
